HD671A Ethicist as Social and Cultural Critic
A seminar exploring what it means to reflect theologically and ethically about Christ and Culture (post-H. Richard Niebuhr’s typology) in the 21st century. Students examine cultural artifacts (such as film, hip-hop music, visual art, advertising, political cartoons, television shows, novels, technoculture) as they construct sociocultural, theological, ethical frameworks for engaging culture.
