The Guthrie Scholars Program is a learning opportunity offered each fall on an application basis. Guthrie Scholars are invited to the campus to pursue a topic of their choice that engages a pressing issue of the church from a Reformed perspective. All costs, except travel, are covered by the seminary. Guthrie Scholars Week 2011 (October 31-November 4) is scheduled at the same time as a Lifelong Learning seminar led by Wayne Muller. Guthrie Scholars will be welcome to attend Muller’s plenary sessions. This year, therefore, Guthrie Scholars applicants whose study interests involve issues of Sabbath, balance, sabbatical, and re-creation (all from a Reformed perspective) will be given priority for acceptance.
