Library - Consortia Agreements

The Library participates in three consortia designed to enhance the resources that can be provided to the Columbia community. Through the Library's participation, Columbia faculty, students, and staff have access to the library collections of members of ARCHE (including the Atlanta Macon Private Academic Libraries, or AMPALS), members of the Atlanta Theological Association (ATA), and members of the Georgia Private Academic Libraries (GPALS). For some subjects judged to be peripheral to the CTS curriculum, the Library depends almost exclusively on access to these other collections.

Electronic Gateway

The Library maintains links to information sources available only through the Internet. These resources include GALILEO, the Georgia statewide library learning online system, and the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) religion databases and other EBSCOhost offerings. Access to GALILEO can be made from the Columbia Theological Seminary campus without a password. For external access the URL is http://www.galileo.peachnet.edu. A password is required, which is available from the librarian on duty at the reference desk. Access to the ATLA databases also requires a password for off-campus use, which is available from the librarian at the reference desk.
