Special Collections
Gifts of books, journals or any other type of information package are welcome to the collection and are added if the items fit the JBCL Collection Management Policy and additional copies are warranted. Many gaps in the collections can only be filled through gifts. Donors are requested to complete a Gifts Form, which describes the donor’s wishes concerning the gift, and transfers ownership of the items to the Library. Gift materials that are not added to the collection are distributed in the following ways:
a list is offered to seminaries in third world countries,
an annual sale is offered by the Library for students and others,
and trades are negotiated with antiquarian book dealers.
