Rural Ministry conference, September 22-24
Decatur, GA. Columbia Theological Seminary will host “Rural Ministry Today: Retooling the Toolbox” on the seminary campus September 22-24. Program registration is $165 and includes two lunches; limited housing is available on campus. Registration is due by August 22.
The conference will feature keynote speaker Betty Grit, program manager of the Worship Renewal Grants for the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, Grand Rapids, MI., and a lecture by Rodger Nishioka, Benton Family Associate Professor of Christian Education at Columbia. Workshop leaders include Kimberly Bracken Long, assistant professor of worship and coordinator of worship resources for congregations, Columbia Theological Seminary; Trace Haythorn, president, The Fund for Theological Education; Bonnie Orth, 2009 Rural Ministry Fellow; and Tom Tewell, executive director, Macedonian Ministries.
