All Columbia alumni and alumnae are members of the Alumni/ae Association and are represented by the Alumni/ae Council. The council meets annually on campus to consider needs and concerns of former students and to plan events and activities. Each year during Colloquium, a special lecture series, selected classes hold reunions. A highlight of this event is presentation of the Distinguished Service Awards to outstanding alumni and alumnae.
