B623 Postcolonial Readings of the New Testament

Reads selected NT texts in their colonial contexts and examines how they have been used to justify oppressive agendas such as the colonial enterprise and imperial structures in various contemporary domains. Explores interpretive strategies for reclaiming the NT for liberative purposes.
