Using Bowen Family Systems Theory (BFST) as applied to organizations as a theoretical framework, the student will explore ways to apply the theory to congregational leadership and other ministry contexts. The role of pastoral leadership in context is emphasized. This seminar satisfies the following DMin program goals: (1) To provide programs of study that facilitate critical reflection on pastoral vocation and practice; (2) To provide opportunities for students to develop pastoral skills and competencies, including methods of pastoral research and writing, that are necessary for mature pastoral leadership.
