Greene is dean emerita of Oxford College of Emory University, former director of the Aquinas Center of Theology at Emory, and editor or author of seven volumes, including biographies of Evelyn Underhill, Maisie Ward, and Denise Levertov. She is president of the Evelyn Underhill Association, serves on the Board of the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation in Washington, D. C., and is an occasional writer for the National Catholic Reporter. She has offered retreats and lectured widely in the United States, England, Italy and South Africa.
