Dr. Cooper-White is excited by interdisciplinary work at the intersection of theology (including feminist/womanist/global, Anglican, and Trinitarian theology), contemporary psychoanalysis, and postmodern/postcolonial theory.  Her recent works have delved into the multi-faceted nature of both the self and God, and how we can use ourselves most faithfully as instruments for pastoral care and counseling.  Her current research interests include sacred space, architecture, a theology of memory and the psyche; and continuing work on the issue of violence against women and the church's response.  In addition, Dr. Cooper-White is also the 2013-14 Fulbright Scholar of Psychoanalysis at the Sigmund Freud Museum, Vienna and University of Vienna.
