“The Global Shift of Mission" is the topic of the week during the Presbyterian History and Reformed Theology Lecture Series July 16-19 at Montreat Conference Center. This series will focus on global Christianity and feature experts from Africa, South America, Asia and the field of missiology.
“We are grateful to our internationally-known speakers for what they will bring to the conversations,” explained Charlie Raynal, director of the program. “These scholars have experience with global Christianity that will stretch and challenge our Western understanding.” Speakers will include Justo Gonzalez (South America), Paul Huh, Eun Shik Cho and Yong Gyu Lee (Korea, China, Mongolia and the Philippines), John Azumah (Africa), Raj Nadella (India) and Marsha Snulligan-Haney (missiology).
The series, now in its sixth year, will be held from 9:00 – 11:30 AM in Convocation Hall in Assembly Inn. The event is sponsored by Columbia Theological Seminary, Johnson C. Smith Seminary of the Interdenominational Theological Center, and the Montreat Conference Center. Advance registration is not required, and there is no charge for this event.
Additional information, including the schedule of speakers, will be posted on the websites of the sponsoring organizations in the coming weeks.
