Jennifer Carlier began her work as associate director in the Center for Lifelong Learning on January 30. A native of the Netherlands, her previous formal education and experience teaching, writing and editing will be put to good use as she serves as editor of JOURNEYING TOGETHER and as our liaison in the production of VANTAGE, the seminary’s publication.
Jenn’s experience planning and implementing church school classes, youth conferences and similar events prepare her to provide support and direction for the programs previously resourced by Linda Mornngstar, who retired in December. These programs include the Presbyterian Women/Horizons Bible studies, Thompson and Guthrie Scholars, Immigrant Lay Leader Training, Korean American Ministries conferences and Summer Scholars. Like Linda, Jenn will also be working part-time in this capacity.
As Jenn puts it, the position will allow her to use all aspects of her training and experience as well as her gifts for administration and hospitality within the framework of her current theological education. She is a full-time student in the M.Div. program here at CTS, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2013.
Jenn may be reached by phone at 404-6897-4636 and via email at CarlierJ@ctsnet.edu.
