Global Shift of Mission Recordings Extend Learning Beyond the Walls
Thanks to the skills of Johnson C. Smith’s videographer Timothy Q. Penn and the Marketing and Communication staff at the Montreat Conference Center, the proceedings of the four day lecture series “Global Shift of Mission” are available to congregations and individuals.
The lecture series took place July 16-19, at Montreat Conference Center. Focusing on global Christianity, it featured experts from Africa, South America, Asia, and the field of missiology and daily worship, using songs and prayers from these geographic areas.
Penn, president of Digital Gospel Productions in Marietta, has DVD recordings available to order. Individual lectures or the complete series, including daily worship designed and led by Paul Huh and Eric Wall, are available. Please download, print, and mail the order form accessible here.
Montreat’s Marketing and Communication staff maintain a YouTube channel, and those interested in viewing the sessions via that platform should use these four links:
Monday – featuring Justo Gonzalez (Latin America), and Raj Nadella (India):
Tuesday – featuring Paul Huh (Korea), Eun Sik Cho (North Korea and the Philippines), Yonggyu Lee (China, and Mongolia):
Wednesday – featuring John Azumah (Africa):
Thursday – featuring Marsha Snulligan-Haney (Missiology as a means to unite in Christ):
The Montreat Lecture series is a partnership of The Presbyterian History and Reformed Theology Program of Columbia Theological Seminary, Johnson C. Smith Seminary of the the Interdenominational Theological Center, and Montreat Conference Center. This summer marked the sixth lecture series and the second including Johnson C. Smith. The dates for the 2013 series are July 15-18, topic to be announced.
