Sabbath & Balance: Focus of Guthrie Scholars 2011

by Lifelong Learning Staff

2010 Guthrie Scholar Julie Hester

Guthrie Scholars Week 2011 (October 31-November 4) is scheduled at the same time as “Living into Sabbath,” a Lifelong Learning seminar led by Wayne Muller.
This year, therefore, the selection process will give priority to applicants whose study interests involve issues of Sabbath, balance, sabbatical, and/or re-creation (all from a Reformed perspective).
During their week of independent study, Guthrie Scholars will be welcome to attend Muller’s plenary sessions.

The Guthrie Scholars Program is a learning opportunity offered each fall on an application basis. Guthrie Scholars are invited to the campus to pursue a topic of their choice that engages a pressing issue of the church from a Reformed perspective. All costs, except travel, are covered by the seminary.
