Educating imaginative, resilient leaders for God's changing world.

Campbell Library exists primarily to meet the needs of the students, faculty and staff of Columbia Theological Seminary. We also regularly serve alumni/ae, family of faculty and staff, ARCHE interlibrary use patrons, and special guests of the Seminary.

Other visitors may use library facilities and materials for research and educational purposes, generally for limited periods of time.  Please see the Computer Use Policy for special limitations on the use of library technology and equipment.

Visitors must identify themselves at the circulation desk by signing the visitor registry each time they use the library. A public services staff person will assist visitors in using the library's resources as time and workload permit.

To facilitate the on-site use of library materials we provide a photocopy machine, the ability to print from our online public catalog, and the option to download and print journal articles found in online databases to which we subscribe.

The following services are not available to visitors or guest borrowers:

  • circulation of audiovisual materials or media equipment; placing of holds and recalls; interlibrary use cards; interlibrary loan; use of group-study rooms;
  • off-campus access to Galileo and other databases.

During times of very high use by Columbia students, visitor services and access may be limited. A visitor's library privileges may be terminated at the discretion of the Library Director for violation of policies, disruptive behavior, or any activity deemed detrimental to the library or our primary users.  For questions about this policy contact the Library Director at 404-687-4547.
