Center for Lifelong Learning offers a monthly discussion group on Theology and Literature. Novels and other types of literature, closely read, give us opportunities to think theologically about the world in which we live. They also put us in touch with writers who think theologically about the world, though in ways often far different from those of systematic theologians.

The monthly Theology and Literature study group is an opportunity to learn to read with theological discernment. This group focuses on a range of literary works, asking questions about the presence or absence of God in the worlds the authors have created and what that may say about how we meet God in our own worlds.

The group meets the first Tuesday of each month, 7:30 p.m., in the Harrington Center on the Columbia Seminary campus. We have newcomers every month, so you are welcome to join at any time during the year. To register for this class, please click here.
