Ordination Prep Sessions

Columbia & Academics / Admissions & Aid / Students & Campus Life

Date: 1/7/2014

Student Services is offering several opportunities to prepare for the ordination exams to be held on January 31 and February 1 (Ords) and February 7 (Bible content). Two identical “How to do well on Ords/Bible content” meetings will offer a general orientation to the exams and include resources and preparation advice. You do not need to RSVP for these meeting; just show up:

  • Tuesday, January 7, 12:30-1:30PM in the Ellis Room.  Bring your own lunch.
  • Thursday, January 9, 5:30-6:30PM, BLC 103.  Snacks provided.

Anyone interested in the exams is welcome to come. There will also be two prep sessions focused on the biblical exegesis exam.  Again, anyone interested may attend.

However, if you are coming to either of these you must RSVP by reply email to the Student Services office no later than this Thursday January 9.

  • Dr. Bill Brown will lead the session on Isaiah on Tuesday,  January 14, 12:30-1:30PM, in the Ellis Room.
  • Dr. Beth Johnson will lead the session on James on Monday, January 13, 4-5PM, in CH room 113.

Please RSVP as soon as possible. These sessions will not be held unless we hear from people who want to come. Preparation sessions will be also offered in spring term for those planning to take the exams in late summer.
