Seminarian Under Care of Presbytery of St. Augustine Receives Leadership Award at Columbia Seminary Commencement
Decatur, GA.—Sandramarie Kirk McDonald received the Master of Divinity degree and was presented the Columbia Leadership Award on May 16 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. McDonald, who serves as associate for pastoral care at McDonough Presbyterian Church, in McDonough, GA, is under care of the Presbytery of St. Augustine. The Columbia Leadership Award is presented to a Master of Divinity graduate who shows promise of providing outstanding leadership to the church and who demonstrates unusual leadership qualities as well as spiritual depth and integrity. McDonald is from St. Augustine, FL, and holds the B.A. and the M.Ed. from the University of North Florida, in Jacksonville, and the Ph.D. from the University of Florida. McDonald is one of 84 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, founded in 1828, is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
