Trinity Presbyterian Interim Mission Director Receives Fellowship at Columbia Seminary Commencement

Decatur, GA.— Allen Cross, interim director of mission at Trinity Presbyterian Church, received the Master of Divinity degree and was presented the Anna Church Whitner Memorial Fellowship on May 16 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. The Whitner Memorial Fellowship is given periodically to a graduate who intends to pursue advanced study. The fellowship is made possible by a legacy left to the seminary in 1928 by the late William C. Whitner of Rock Hill, SC, in memory of his mother. Cross, of Atlanta, holds the B.A. from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. He is a candidate for ministry in the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. Cross is one of 84 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, founded in 1828, is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
