Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church Pastor Receives Highest Honors at Columbia Seminary Commencement
Decatur, GA.—Luther Franklin Fant, Jr., pastor of Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church, received the Master of Divinity degree and was awarded the Wilds Book Prize on May 16 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. Originally from Alexandria, VA, Fant holds the B.S. from Clemson University and the Ph.D. from Florida State University. Columbia’s highest academic honor, the Wilds Book Prize is given annually to the graduating student selected by the faculty for having the highest academic distinction throughout the Master of Divinity program. Fant is one of 84 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, founded in 1828, is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
