Columbia Seminary Graduation Events on May 16-17


Decatur, GA—Columbia Theological Seminary’s 2008 baccalaureate service will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 16, at Columbia Presbyterian Church, adjacent to the seminary. Bishop William H. Willimon, of the United Methodist Church, North Alabama, will preach the baccalaureate sermon. Commencement is at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, in Atlanta. Degrees will be conferred on 103 students in five degree programs: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Theological Studies, Master of Theology, Doctor of Theology, and Doctor of Ministry. Recipients of awards and fellowships will be announced during the graduation exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, located in Decatur, Georgia, was established in 1828 and is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
