2005-06-07

Decatur, GA.—Former Cullman-area resident Jaina Woodward Anderson received the Master of Divinity degree and was presented the James T. and Celeste M. Boyd Book Fund Award on May 14 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. The Boyd Book Fund Award is given to a Master of Divinity student who, in the judgment of the faculty, would be a good steward of a theological library and has demonstrated a desire through studies to build a personal theological library. Anderson holds the B.S. from Athens State College in Athens, AL. She recently accepted a call to serve as associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Athens, AL. Anderson is one of 92 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, founded in 1828, is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA). xxx
