Wesleyan University Alumna Receives Book Fund Award at Columbia Seminary Commencement
Decatur, GA.— Jane Cook Barwick received the Master of Divinity degree and was presented the James T. and Celeste M. Boyd Book Fund Award on May 14 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. The Boyd Book Fund Award is given to a Master of Divinity student who, in the judgment of the faculty, would be a good steward of a theological library and has demonstrated a desire through studies to build a personal theological library. Barwick a native of Atlanta, GA, received the J.D. from the University of Georgia in Athens, and is house counsel for the Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. Barkwick is one of 92 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, founded in 1828, is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
