Peachtree Presbyterian Church Member Receives Youth Ministry Award at Columbia Seminary Commencement
Decatur, GA.—Paul Glenn Hackett, a member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church, received the Master of Divinity degree and was presented the William Rivers Waddey Fund Award on May 14 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. The Waddey Fund Award was established by Walter and Cecilia Waddey in memory of their son, William, who was an active and vital part of the youth program at Peachtree Presbyterian Church. The fund supports an award given to a graduating basic degree student possessing extraordinary gifts for youth ministry and pursuing such a call in the church. Hackett, of Atlanta, GA, is a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV, and is a candidate for ministry under care of Greater Atlanta Presbytery. Hackett is one of 92 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, founded in 1828, is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
