Be Enriched by Seasons of the Liturgical Year Women’s Bible Study
Decatur, GA.—For Everything A Season is the theme of a women’s Bible study being offered four times this summer: two daytime courses (July 11-13, August 1-5) and two weekends (August 5-6, August 26-27). Designed for those who will teach the Presbyterian Women’s Bible study in their churches, this course is open to everyone. All sessions will be held on the campus of Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA. “Come learn the biblical and theological background of Advent, Pentecost, Epiphany, Lent, and the other church seasons,” says Linda Morningstar, associate director of Lifelong Learning. “Drawing on these seasons in our worship, personal devotions, and day by day can be life-enhancing. We will explore the biblical texts, connect personally with the themes, and provide practical ideas for teaching the series.” Course leader for the July 11-13 course is Kathleen Long Bostrom, Presbyterian pastor and author of the study. The cost for this session is $75 (includes lunch). Rebecca Parker, associate director, Mary & Martha’s Place, in Atlanta, is leader for the three other sessions. Cost is $50 (lunch not included). For more information about lodging and course content, please contact the seminary’s Lay Institute at 404-687-4577, or e-mail LayInstitute@ctsnet.edu.
