Theological Serials Online Database Now Available to Alumni/ae
Decatur, GA—The American Theological Library Association Serials (ATLAS) research database used in the John Bulow Campbell Library is now available to all Columbia alumni/ae. The database provides online access to more than 150,000 articles and citations—and to the full text of hundreds of periodicals and journals. Until this past January, the ATLAS database has been available only to Columbia faculty, students, and campus visitors. The JBC Library is now able to offer this resource to alumni/ae by participating in a program of the American Theological Library Association (ATLA). Funded by a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, the program will run for two years in the test phase. Columbia’s library was accepted for the program in exchange for alumni/ae providing feedback on how ATLAS can be of use in their congregations and ministries. Columbia graduates may obtain more information by contacting the Library Reference Desk at 404-687-4620 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Columbia Theological Seminary, located in Decatur, Georgia, was established in 1828 and is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
