David Forney Named Editor of Journal of Religious Leadership

Decatur, GA.—David Forney, Columbia Theological Seminary’s Associate Dean of the Faculty and Director of Institutional Research, has been named editor of the Journal of Religious Leadership. He will succeed the founding editor, Scott Cormode of Fuller Theological Seminary. The journal was founded in 2001 and is a semiannual publication of the Academy of Religious Leadership, based in Claremont, CA. Forney says that the goal of this journal is to be both scholarly and practical. In addition to adhering to rigorous academic standards, articles are expected to draw prescriptive conclusions as well as offer practical application for pastors and congregations. Columbia Theological Seminary, located in Decatur, Georgia, was established in 1828 and is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
