Columbia Seminary Offering “The Art of Worship” Seminar, January 8


Decatur, GA—Columbia Theological Seminary will offer “The Art of Worship” January 8 on the seminary campus. The seminar is designed for pastors, worship directors, artists, and lay people who want to explore ways of building deeper worship participation in their congregations with prayerful-participatory art. Enrollment is limited to 100 and registration closes December 22, 2008. Leaders include Troy Bronsink, organizing pastor of Neighbors Abbey, a new church development in Atlanta, GA, and Michael Morgan, seminary musician. Other leaders are: David Vander Meer, director of music ministries at Central Presbyterian Church, Atlanta, GA; Dana Lupton, co-founder and director of the Atlanta nonprofit youth development program, “Moving in the Spirit;” Dan Ra, worship leader at “The Living Room,” a new church development in Atlanta; Emily Large, a physical therapist, who combines physical therapy with yoga; and Thomas Daniel, organizing co-pastor of Kairos, a new church development in Atlanta. The event is a joint effort of the seminary’s Center for Lifelong Learning and the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. The program cost is $25 and includes dinner.
