Columbia Graduation Events Are May 15-16


Decatur, GA—Columbia Theological Seminary’s 2009 baccalaureate service will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 15, at Columbia Presbyterian Church, adjacent to the seminary. Rick Ufford-Chase will preach the baccalaureate sermon. He is executive director of the Presbyterian Peace Fellowship and was moderator of the 216th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Commencement is at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, at Peachtree Presbyterian Church, in Atlanta. Degrees will be conferred on 78 students in five degree programs: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Theological Studies, Master of Theology, Doctor of Theology, and Doctor of Ministry. Recipients of awards and fellowships will be announced during the commencement service. Columbia Theological Seminary, located in Decatur, GA, was established in 1828 and is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA). (end)
