Beginning Retreat for Youth Ministry Certificate, October 9-11 at Columbia Seminary
Decatur, GA—Columbia Theological Seminary will offer the first course in the Youth Ministry Leadership Initiative (YMLI) certification program October 9-11. The weekend retreat will be held on the seminary campus. The YMLI certification program, a joint effort of the seminary and the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta, is designed for pastors and lay leaders who are committed to developing strong church youth programs. The retreat theme is "Discerning Your Call to Youth Ministry." Leaders are Rodger Nishioka, Benton Family Associate Professor of Christian Education at Columbia Theological Seminary, and Neema Cyrus-Franklin, director of youth ministries for the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. The program cost of $165 includes two meals. Registration is due by October 2.
