Central Presbyterian Church Intern Receives Book Fund Award During Columbia Seminary Commencement
Decatur, GA.— Samuel Bradley Clayton, who this fall begins a year-long internship at Central Presbyterian Church in Christian education of youth, received the Master of Divinity degree and was presented the James T. and Celeste M. Boyd Book Fund Award on May 16 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. The Boyd Book Fund Award is given to a Master of Divinity student who, in the judgment of the faculty, would be a good steward of a theological library and has demonstrated a desire through studies to build a personal theological library. Clayton is from Greer, SC, and holds the B.A. from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. Clayton is one of 84 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, founded in 1828, is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
