Decatur, GA.— Kearneysville native Matthew F. Hardin received the Master of Divinity degree and was presented the James T. and Celeste M. Boyd Book Fund Award on May 16 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. The Boyd Book Fund Award is given to a Master of Divinity student who, in the judgment of the faculty, would be a good steward of a theological library and has demonstrated a desire through studies to build a personal theological library. Hardin holds the B.A. from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. He serves as pastor of Butner Presbyterian Church, in Butner, NC. Hardin is one of 84 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises.
