Seminarian Under Care of Presbytery of Detroit Receives Graduate Fellowship at Columbia Seminary Commencement
Decatur, GA.— Susan Ellen Thomas received the Master of Divinity degree and was awarded the Columbia Graduate Fellowship on May 16 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. Thomas is under care of the Presbytery of Detroit. The Columbia Graduate Fellowship is awarded annually to a student who has demonstrated exceptional academic ability. The fellowship may be applied to any advanced degree beyond the Master of Divinity. Thomas, who grew up in Novi, MI, and holds the B.S. from Madonna University in Livonia, MI, enters the Master of Theology program at Columbia Seminary this fall. Thomas is one of 84 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, founded in 1828, is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
