Seminarian Under Care of Trinity Presbytery Receives Award in Evangelism and Church Growth at Columbia Seminary Commence
Decatur, GA.—Lyndsay Lee Slocum received the Master of Divinity degree and was presented the William Dudley Award on May 16 during commencement exercises of Columbia Theological Seminary. Slocum is under care of Trinity Presbytery. The Dudley Award is given to a Master of Divinity graduate who has shown significant achievement, interest, and commitment in the area of evangelism and church growth. Slocum is from Lexington, SC, and holds the B.A. from Presbyterian College, in Clinton, SC. She serves as director of middle school ministries for Peachtree Presbyterian Church, in Atlanta. Slocum is one of 84 students who received diplomas from one of Columbia’s five degree programs during commencement exercises. Columbia Theological Seminary, founded in 1828, is one of 10 theological institutions of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
