The Library collects and preserves materials relating to the history of Columbia Theological Seminary and the Presbyterian Church (USA) in the C. Benton Kline, Jr. Special Collections and Archives.The archives include, but are not limited to, institutional papers and records, faculty papers and records, CTS faculty publications, and CTS student theses.
These collections include primarily materials from the Southern Stream of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and its predecessor bodies.
The congregational records collection at Columbia Theological Seminary includes both records that were transferred from the Presbyterian Historical Society - Montreat in 2007 and records that have been deposited at the seminary since then. The denominations represented are current PC(USA), former PCUS, and ARPC congregations.

Research in Special Collections and Archives
Onsite access to Special Collections and Archives materials is on Fridays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. by appointment only. To make an appointment, contact the archives at firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Thursday. Onsite researchers must complete a patron registration form and present photo identification before using archival materials.
Reproduction services such as photocopying are available, but may be limited due to donor restrictions, copyright law, condition of the item, or other reasons.
