Randy Calvo '81: New Alumni/ae & Church Relations Director

Randy Calvo began on May 7 as director of alumni/ae and church relations. Calvo received his M.Div. from the seminary in 1981. A graduate of Clemson University, he worked in the banking and insurance industries before entering seminary. He then became pastor of the McDonough (GA) Presbyterian Church, where he served for 16 years. For the past ten years, he had served as pastor and head of staff of Northwest Presbyterian Church, in Atlanta.

 
A member of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta, Calvo serves on the Permanent Judicial Council. He has also chaired the Bills and Overture Committee and represented the presbytery as a commissioner to the 1999 General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA).
 
He and his wife, Dyann, a reading specialist teacher, live in Athens, GA. They have two children and two grandchildren.
