Russell Rourk began in July as an engineer with the maintenance team. Russell has many years of experience in physical plant maintenance and is a full-time Carter Property Management employee assigned to Columbia.
Raymond Wright began in August as the part-time media assistant in the John Bulow Campbell Library. He is a graduate of Elon University and has worked in documentary filmmaking, video, and editing.
Godspeed
Herb McGuin, a reference librarian in the John Bulow Campbell Library, left Columbia in August to accept a position at the Sims Memorial Library of Southeastern Louisiana University.
Chuck Miller, interim director of the spirituality program since January 2005, left Columbia at the end of June. He and his wife, Lori, have moved to a new home in their retirement destination, Chattanooga, TN.
Harvey K. Newman, director of the seminary’s Faith and the City project, has returned to full-time teaching and administrative duties at Georgia State University where he is professor of urban policy studies. He had held a joint appointment with Columbia and Georgia State for the past three years.
Kenyon Thweatt, associate director of development, left the seminary at the end of August. With Columbia for nearly three years, he was instrumental in helping strengthen Columbia’s relationships with congregations particularly in Florida and Atlanta’s Korean
community.
Randy Tyndall, media specialist in the John Bulow Campbell Library, left the seminary at the end of August to accept a position at New York University. He had been at Columbia for 13 years.
