A Letter from the President and Board Chair
Dear Friends,
Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, God has connected you to Columbia Theological Seminary. You are a part of our community, and it is because of you and people like you all over the world that this seminary is able to fulfill God’s mission of preparing leaders for Christ’s church.
For your prayers, for your interest and concern, for your gifts, this is a letter of thanks:
On behalf of Columbia’s students, faculty, and staff
who offer their lives in service to Christ’s mission
On behalf of all those whose prayers have been answered
as they received a new pastor who was trained at Columbia
On behalf of all whose pastor was renewed for ministry after receiving
a Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia or who attended a Lifelong Learning event and learned a new skill for ministry
On behalf of all those in hospitals or in jails or in the military who needed a visit from a chaplain and received such care from a graduate of Columbia
On behalf of those who needed a counselor, someone who would pray with them and for them and received such from a graduate of Columbia
On behalf of those who seek a deepened understanding of Scripture
and are being taught by one who studied at Columbia
On behalf of all those who learned from someone who studied at Columbia more about who God is and who they are as children of God
On behalf of those worldwide receiving the care of missionaries who have studied at Columbia
Thank you on behalf of all these. And may God continue to use us all for the coming of Christ’s Kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven.
Faithfully,
Laura Mendenhall, President, and Frank Skinner, Chair of the Board of Trustees
Note: Mr. Skinner recently completed his term as chair of the Board of Trustees.
