Application Deadlines
In most cases, students matriculate at Columbia Theological Seminary in the fall of each academic year. Applicants must submit all application materials – e.g, the online application, academic writing sample, letters of recommendation – by the deadlines below in order to be considered for admission. Applicants should be aware of three types of application deadlines:
- Early Decision Deadline – Applicants who apply by the Early Action Deadline will receive an admissions decision by November 16. These applicants will also be considered for the Seminary’s top merit-based scholarships and awards.
- Priority Deadline – Applicants who complete their application by the priority deadline will be considered for the Seminary’s top merit-based scholarships and awards.
- Final Deadline – This is the final date a student may apply for admission and matriculate in the fall semester immediately following the date. Applicants will be considered for scholarships and awards. However, the Seminary’s top, merit-based scholarships are typically awarded by this time.
- International Applicant Deadline – In order to ensure international student applicants have an appropriate amount of time to complete all paperwork associated with studying in the United States, all international students must submit their application by January 15th. Applications submitted after January 15th will not be considered for fall admission and will be moved to the next academic year.
