New Scholarship Opportunities
There are a number of other scholarships for seminary students made available through denominations and partnering foundations. Below are just some of the scholarships for seminary students made available to Columbia Theological Seminary in the past:
PEO Sisterhood
This is a scholarship and aid opportunity for women at Columbia Seminary looking for additional scholarship and grant opportunities. Check out the six projects supported by the PEO Sisterhood. UCC Scholarships
The United Church of Christ Scholarships are available at www.ucc.org/apply. The scholarships are primarily for UCC seminarians. Note deadline for Make a Difference Ph.D. Scholarship Award is around March 20 of each year. Other scholarships with descriptions and deadlines include:
- Garrett Trust Fund Scholarship (One time only emergency need, year round)
- Cannon Endowment Fund Scholarship (Military Chaplaincy for UCC CCDC, UM & PCUSA students, around April 1 of each year)
- William R. Johnson Scholarship (2nd and 3rd year LGBT seminarians, around April 1 of each year)
- Adrienne M. and Charles Shelby Rooks (Fellowship for Racial and Ethnic Theological Students,around March 1 of each year)
- Harold H. Wilke Scholarship Fund (seminarians with disabilities)

Daisy and Eugene Hale Memorial Fund
Deadline: Completed applications are due April 30 of each year.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Florida resident & under care of a Florida Presbytery;
- Demonstrated financial need;
- Pursing education in a recognized theological seminary;
- Goal: ministry of the Word and Sacrament of the Presbyterian Church (USA);
Award Amount: Made by May 15 each year, range of $500-2000
