OUR CREATOR GOD,
giver of life and provider of all good things,
who has blessed us in the gift of new life
in the Savior, Jesus Christ,
accept our worship of thanksgiving today.
We thank you for the mother earth
that gives of her bounty to provide for our needs,
for the beauty of your creation
and all the wonders it contains,
for the gift of life, that which we have lived,
and for the living of this moment
and for that life yet to come.
Our desire today, our God,
is that we would be a source of thanksgiving for you.
Delight in us, O Lord,
as we confess
our love and gratitude to you,
our eternal and steadfast God.
As you have blessed us in your love,
we ask your blessing on others:
bless among us those who are poor in spirit,
give them your kingdom;
bless those among us who have cause to grieve today,
give them your comfort;
bless those among us who hunger and thirst to see right prevail,
may they see your justice on earth;
bless those from among us who show mercy,
be merciful to them;
bless the peacemakers among us,
may their way prevail;
bless those who are persecuted for your name’s sake
on this day,
may they see your kingdom.
And bless the innocent and the powerless,
those who have no voice in the world.
Make them your own, guard them with your mighty arm.
be the Lord of hosts for them.
