Call for Poster Proposals

Center for Academic Literacy (CAL) Student Poster Conference
Conference Date: Wednesday, November 12, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: John Bulow Campbell Library, Columbia Theological Seminary (Decatur, GA)
Proposal Deadline: Friday, September 19, 2025 (11:59 p.m. ET)
Notification of Acceptance: Wednesday, October 1, 2025
Theme (2025): Writing as Formation: Communicating Scholarship for the Common Good

Who Can Submit
• Current CTS students (master’s and doctoral levels) in any program.
• Individual or group posters (up to 3 student authors per poster).
• Course-based projects, theses/dissertations-in-progress, internship projects, community-engaged projects, international/mission-related work, Research-in-Progress (thesis/dissertation chapters, pilot studies), and independent research are all eligible.
Important Dates
• Proposal Deadline: September 19, 2025
• Notifications: October 1, 2025
• Final PDF for Printing Support: November 5, 2025
• Conference: November 12, 2025, 10:00—11:00 a.m. participant discussion of posters. Visitation until 5:00 p.m.
Awards: People’s Choice
Proposal Requirements: Submit a poster title, abstract (max 150 words), 40–60-word summary, keywords, and any special equipment needs. Posters should follow standard writing guidelines. Posterboard and editable poster templates will be provided.
