Columbia Hosts “Climate Resilience and Justice in Decatur: A Community Conversation”

An important discussion about climate resilience and climate justice will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in Columbia Theological Seminary’s Ellis Room. 

Moderated by WABE’s Rose Scott, the discussion will be a conversation exploring how Decatur’s climate resilience task force is considering matters of climate justice and why this is important to the community.

Speaking on the issue will be Dr. Na’Taki Osborne Jelks, an assistant professor in the Environmental Health Sciences Department at Spelman College; David Nifong, the city of Decatur’s Energy and Sustainability manager; and Marques Cole, organizing director of Georgia Interfaith Power and Light. 

Columbia Theological Seminary is located at 701 Columbia Drive, Decatur, Ga. 30030. The Ellis Room is in the Richards Center on the Kirk Road side of campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
