Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend staying at the Hampton Inn and Suites in downtown Decatur.  Tell them you are attending the conference to receive the conference rate; our discount rate is $149/night plus tax. That includes access to hotel amenities and breakfasts.

Lunches and coffee hours during the conference are covered in your registration fees.  Breakfasts and dinners are not.  There are a wide variety of wonderful restaurants in and near Decatur.  For an extensive list (and to explore other fun things to do), go to Visit Decatur.

Most of the conference will be held at Columbia Theological Seminary.  If you are unfamiliar with the campus or visiting from elsewhere, you can find directions here.  Parking on campus is plentiful but we recommend parking either in the library lot (off Inman Drive) or the Harrington Center lot (off Kirk Road). If the parking lots are full, parking is permitted on Inman Drive (park on the campus side of the street) and Kirk Road (again: park on the campus side of the street).  We will have signs and volunteers to help you get around once you are on campus.

Two events are off campus:  the opening keynote address is at Decatur Presbyterian Church, which is at the corner of Sycamore and Church St. in downtown Decatur across from the MARTA station, and the opening worship service is at Columbia Presbyterian Church across Kirk Rd. from Columbia Theological Seminary.  Click on the links to either church for further details and directions.

  • $175 in person
  • $100 alumni in person
  • $30 student in person (registration for students opens Feb. 16)
  • $25 online

Yes. If you can only attend one day of the conference, you can still access the keynotes and plenaries online.
