Research for Dr. Bonfiglio focuses on theories and methods of iconographic exegesis, an interpretive method that studies biblical literature in light of ancient art and visual culture. He is also interested in Israelite religion, the Prophets, metaphor theory, contextual hermeneutics, and biblical theology.
