Columbia offers six graduate degree programs, including three advanced degree programs, to help you achieve your vocational goals. Whatever your theological interests and ministerial passions may be, our degree programs–guided by our world-class faculty–are prepared and eager to meet you where you are.
These degree programs are foundational components of theological education.
A program that engages students in rigorous academic study and intentional contextual learning to serve a multidimensional Church in an ever-changing public sphere.
Master of Divinity (MDiv) 2025/2026
A program focused on the practice of educational ministries, pastoral care, pastoral theology, worship, preaching, and the arts.
Master of Arts in Practical Theology (MAPT)
A flexible program for those preparing for doctoral studies, church leadership positions, or specialized forms of lay ministry.
Master of Arts (Theological Studies) (MA[TS])
These advanced programs are intended for those who have obtained a foundational degree in theological education and are interested in furthering their studies.
A program designed for those who want additional academic preparation for professional ministry and/or training for an academic vocation.
Master of Theology (ThM)
A hybrid, part-time leadership development program designed for experienced pastoral leaders of any denomination currently engaged in ministry.
Doctor of Ministry (DMin)
A hybrid, part-time program designed for those actively involved in a position of educational ministry to enhance the practice of educational ministry.
Doctor of Educational Ministry (DEdMin)
Theological Education for All
All full-time master’s degree students receive full tuition scholarships at the time of admission. Part-time master’s degree students may be eligible for scholarships that cover 50-90% of tuition.
