Graduate Certificate
Building on Columbia’s distinctive vision of ever becoming a place of welcome, hospitality, justice, and belonging, the Graduate Certificate in Intercultural Chaplaincy emphasizes intercultural intelligence, preparing graduates who can provide spiritual care to a rapidly diversifying and culturally changing world. The Graduate Certificate in Intercultural Chaplaincy teaches students to provide effective spiritual care and leadership across diversity and differences. Students practice self-reflection and learn to articulate an approach to spiritual care that integrates theory, research, and praxis.
The Graduate Certificate in Intercultural Chaplaincy is designed for persons interested in pursuing vocations as chaplains and spiritual care professionals in faith-based and secular settings, such as workplaces, correctional institutions, the military, colleges/universities, social justice movements, and healthcare organizations.
