The word “wellness” implies a range of meanings centered about a core concept of optimum functioning and a balanced integration of the emotional, spiritual and physical dimensions of life. Wellness in the course understanding moves beyond the concept of “self improvement” to embrace abundance, connection and fullness of living while also acknowledging the reality of boundaries and limits.
