Imagine yourself in the Bahamas: the weather is pleasant, the water is warm, the sand is white, and the ocean is bluer than your dreams.
Now imagine yourself sea kayaking between and camping on the islands of the Greater Exumas: paddling through paradise, sleeping on secluded beaches, swimming in crystal-clear waters.

Now, make those imaginings a reality by joining Steve Harrington and Mark Douglas as they lead this wonderful and wonderous wilderness trip. Steve is a Presbyterian minister who is also an instructor for both the National Outdoor Leadership School and for Outward Bound, and Mark is an outdoors enthusiast and Professor of Christian Ethics at Columbia Theological Seminary. Come learn kayaking and camping skills and reflect on faith and the environment!
Trip cost is $1800, airfare and pre- and post-trip lodging not included. A $500 deposit is due December 1, 2024. Participants should arrive for the start of the retreat on the 1st in anticipation of launching on the 2nd. The group will return on the 7th, so participants should plan to fly out on the 8th.
This trip is for novices who are new to kayaking and will be moderately strenuous.
