Economic inequality has been growing exponentially in the United States and around the world. This course will explicate New Testament perspectives on the issue of economic justice by analyzing relevant texts in light of their historical and socio-economic contexts. Students will examine the ethical implications of those perspectives and explore how the scriptures can be employed to reflect on, and address, growing economic disparities.
